Glastonbury Festival 2024: The Glebe Preview

Situated at the bottom of Glebeland in the shadow of the Theatre & Circus’s archway, The Glebe is an outdoor stage that hosts the kind of acts that might surprise you. Be it magic or a comedy show with a hint of the unexpected.

And, like the nearby Astrolabe Theatre, it sits close to The Glebe Bar – perfect for grabbing a drink and sitting on the grass to enjoy the acts. If the weather allows for sitting down, that is.

Groovy Guy / Thursday from 14:45 to 15:15, Friday from 12:00 to 12:30 and Sunday from 12:00 to 12:30. Also on The Pavement and A Little More Sensation.

Glastonbury regular Groovy Guy Collins has a juggling career that has spanned decades and continents. He first arrived at Glastonbury Festival in 1999 and has performed at every festival since 2015. A perfect way to kick off your festival.

Lekiddo – Lord of the Lobsters! / Friday from 14:30 to 15:00, Saturday from 14:00 to 14:30 and Sunday from 12:35 to 13:05. Also on The Gateway.

Lekiddo holds a kind of cult following at Glastonbury and we reviewed an ‘indescribable’ set on The Gateway at last year’s festival. It might not be to everyone’s taste but clearly there is something attractive about the Lord of the Lobster’s approach to audience participation. Give it a go, you might find yourself surprised.

A twin brother magic and comedy act, Kane & Abel have been a cult hit at Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Glastonbury regulars, beginning with a Walkabout set that has earned them on the Glebe for the second year running. Their sleight of hand and comedy hi-jinks are sure to be a hit with crowds this year.
