Lipsync heaven is a world where pop superstars come to life, bringing you classic songs of Love, Romance and Passion. Presented by Wayne and Wanda they bring singers to life in lipsync form. They’re back at this year’s Glastonbury Festival and we caught up with them to hear about their plans for the festival.
How does it feel to be returning to Worthy Farm for another Glastonbury Festival?
We are really excited this year – there feels like there is a buzz in the air this year and we’re hoping for a good crowd.
What can you tell us about Wayne & Wanda’s Lipsync Heaven?
It’s a celebration of love, passion and lipsyncing. We take our lipsyncing seriously but the comedy is also important.
What are your plans for this year’s performances?
We’ll be performing a different song each night and intend to give it 110%! Hopefully it will be sillier than ever.
How does playing at Glastonbury compare to other gigs?
Glastonbury is a special one and always the highlight of our year. We’re lucky to have a beautiful spot at Bella’s bridge and people stumbling across us late at night are very appreciative and generous. It’s also a chance to meet up again with our Glastonbury ‘family’ of friends and performers.
Are there any other acts you’re looking forward to catching across the weekend?
There are a few bands we want to catch including an up coming band called The Disappointments who are high energy and really fun. The band The Disappointments are definitely worth catching! Jerry Hart aka The Crooked Crooner is always fantastic and we’ll be at Rimski’s Yard to catch some weird and wonderful surprises.
