Hadestown has announced new casting with Trevor Dion Nicholas joining the production as Hades and Rachel Tucker taking on the role of Persephone. Nicholas has been seen in Aladdin and Hamilton, while Tucker recently appeared in Jamie Lloyd’s production of Sunset Boulevard.
They join Madeline Charlemagne as Eurydice, Melanie La Barrie as Hermes, Dylan Wood as Orpheus, with Bella Brown, Allie Daniel and Francessca Daniella-Baker as the Fates.
Performances with the new cast begin on 15 October 2024 with booking now extended until 28 September.
The musical, penned by Anaïs Mitchell follows the Ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Eurydice, starving on earth, agrees to work for Hades (Zachary James), setting the songwriting Orpheus on a journey to rescue her.
