Yann Elvis review – Glastonbury Festival 2024

Yann Elvis’s name is Yann Elvis – he has a small board with him on the A Little More Sensation stage that says ‘Yann Elvis’ on it to prove it. His set mostly involves sending things into the air – rubber chickens, a Diablo and the knives he juggles while using his name sign and a tube as a balance board, both balanced on top of a crate.

That’s tricky when performing on an outdoor stage on a windy day – and Yann really does have to fight with the wind. It’s unfortunate that the wind seems to be getting stronger as he begins ‘the hardest trick he knows’ sending the Diablo over his head and catching it behind his back.

‘This is live – it’s not TikTok. There’s no editing,’ he jokes after a failed attempt – but he perseveres, with the audience on his side and makes the catch. And, in the end, having succeeded with his knife juggling trick, Yann has bettered the wind and won over the audience.

Yann Elvis performed on A Little More Sensation at Glastonbury Festival 2024, running from 26 to 30 June
